Last week I put a white tee in every outfit. Not on purpose. I’m just very into them right now, and the weather keeps giving me a reason.
In Slovakia we call this stretch of the year babie leto. Cold mornings, warm afternoons, and a lot of getting dressed for two temperatures at once.
Most days started with a layer on top and ended with it somewhere over my arm. The clothes themselves stayed pretty simple, which was probably what I needed this week.
Black, White, Repeat

Black pants are one of the real staples in my closet, and I have a few pairs I rotate depending on the shape I want. These are Massimo Dutti, one size up, although I think I could have gone up two because I like them even longer and looser. I wear them with pointed shoes most often, but they work just as well with loafers or sneakers. (I pulled together a tailored-pants edit with good options in different silhouettes, mostly black, including this Massimo Dutti pair.)
The cropped leather jacket is old H&M Studio, bought secondhand on eBay. I don’t wear it constantly because there is not much room for layering underneath, but when the weather allows it, I love how sharp it makes the whole silhouette.
The Gucci sunglasses from Primavera Collection came home with me from Lisbon. The shape is very graphic, almost severe, which is why I like them. With a simple black-and-white outfit, they give the whole thing a bit more attitude.

This was the more dressed version of the black-and-white mood. I swapped the leather for an overshirt, pinned a brooch at the collar, and added the pouch bag. The heel took it easily into dinner territory. These pumps are currently on sale.
I like an oversized shirt for this kind of thing because it can sit somewhere between jacket and blouse. I’ve been very into brooches since last year, especially when they’re worn somewhere slightly unexpected, on a collar, lapel, or even a bag.
Then, Color
After all the black and white, I wanted something warmer. These By Malene Birger pants have that slightly shiny, gold-khaki color that changes a bit depending on the light, and the red sweater around the waist was enough color for me.

Back to Jeans
After the gold-khaki pants, I went straight back to jeans. This is probably the most familiar combination in the post: white tee, jeans, blazer coat, boots.
The concho belt is the part I wanted to see with it. I’ve worn it a lot lately, mostly with pants, but with denim it feels especially natural. I rolled the jeans and kept the boots flat, which made the whole thing a little more relaxed.

I love the idea of the brooch at your collar! ❤️ You have inspired me to get into brooches for a touch of individuality.
You just reminded me how close Slovakian and Croatian are, as we also say "bablje ljeto" for this time of year when it's unusually warm during the day.
You've also made me wonder whether I need a long black blazer coat.
